Temple Sinai is proud to present in conjunction with the Sandy Spring Theatre Group
Festival of Lights -- A Musical Spin on an American Hanukah by Art Levine, author of Called Up to Life, directed by Cyle Durkee
Festival of Lights is an hour long musical that will entertain the whole family with its story of two Jewish American teenagers who find themselves owners of a closed downtown synagogue. Helping them to understand how the synagogue came to be and how it came to be theirs is the mercurial Sandalfon, a Jewish angel. Sandalfon shows the teenagers a surprising new side of their parents, grandparents and even great grandparents. Ultimately, the kids gain a new appreciation for their heritage and develop a vision for their synagogue.
